Summary – “Meet the legend behind the man”
Our specialised guide will lead you though a themed tour of Warsaw and the sourrounding areas to follow in the footsteps of one of Poland’s greats, the legendary composer and piano genius Frederic Chopin (1810-1849).
The tour will begin on the Royal Route. From here you will visit the Holy Cross Church that holds the urn which contains the heart of Chopin. Next stop is the Royal Lazienki Park where a famous monument dedicated to Frederic Chopin stands.
After visiting the sights in Warsaw (where he lived from 1810-1830) ther tours goes back to the beginning and will head to the birthplace of Frederic Chopin, a small manor house in Zelazowa Wola, 50 kilometres west of Warsaw. Although Chopin spent only the first seven months of his life there, it is still well worth visiting – this typical old Polish country house of the gentry has a cosy museum and a lovely park.
The final stop will be in Masovian, where you’ll be in awe of the magnificent countryside scenery. It is here you will stop in Brochow – a 16th century parish church that witnessed Chopin’s baptism and, coincidently was also where the wedding ceremony of his parents took place in 1806.
