There is only one choice of weapon for the marksman – the sniper rifle. It’s portable, extremely accurate over long distances and the bullet placement is unrivalled by any small arms. These guns fully optimised and built to offer pin point perfection.
The long lens sniper competition starts with a practice round to get you used to the gun and firing actions. Then we start the rounds. Each round consists of a set of 5 shots. Shooters are awarded points for accuracy with the closest hit to the bullseyes gaining the most points. After 2 rounds of 5 shots, the scores are added together and the two best shooters face off to battle eachother in a final round of 1 shot.
The Sniper Rifle Competition in Poznan uses a SAKO TRG 22 Cal.308W and comprises of the following:
5 rounds – practice round
5 rounds – first round
5 rounds – second round
The two highest scoring shooters will face off in a sudden death 1 round each final.
