Summary – “What’s your cocktail mix of choice?”
Ernest Hemingway’s enjoyed a Daiquiri, Andrew Campbell the Caprioska and Winston Churchill the hardball; do you have a favourite cocktail?
Surprisingly the history behind the word “cocktail” remains and mystery and has been debated by experts for years, because nobody knows where the words came from. What they do agree on is the base behind what a drink should contain to be labelled as a cocktail. There should be a level of three core ingredients, one spirit, one sweet or sugary and one bitter or sour flavoured ingredient.
