When visiting any city for the first or indeed second time, there are so many interesting places and hidden gems that one may miss. Our Warsaw city walk gives you the opportunity to discover many of those very gems. Using our private guilds, you’ll have the chance to dive into their expert local knowledge and get a real understanding of the city and people whilst following our tour itinerary.
Our tour looks at Warsaw life on the eve of and post communism. Here stories about the old Kings and legends past, the secrets of enclosed in the courtyards of Varsovian houses, uncover the former location of a mausoleum of a Russian tsar and learn where the Warsaw Pact was signed
The General route of the tour starts in the Old Town that was painstakingly restored after being practically completely destroyed during WWII. (added to the UNESCO Heritage List 1980). You will have the chance to see the Old Town Market Square, the New Town, St John’s Cathedral, the Barbican and the Royal Castle. You’ll also pass by the Saxon Gardens with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the magnificent Palace of Culture and Science. Also the tour passes by Warsaw’s Great Theatre with its interesting Apollonian Quadriga in its tympanum, and stroll along the Royal Route to the Holy Cross Church which houses the urn with Chopin’s heart.
