This coach sightseeing tour is conducted by one of our expert city guides and comprises of all the top attractions in Warsaw and nearby areas. If you want to get all your sightseeing done in one go, but don’t feel like taking the walking tour, then this is for you.
Here is what is included in this tour:
Warsaw Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage List which was rebuilt from scratch after 1945.
The Royal Castle with its Square, the residence of monarchs from 1596 to 1795, as well as the residence of the Polish President in 1918. Do not forget to see the King Sigismund III Column – the first secular monument in Poland.
St John’s Cathedral, a Gothic church and witness to some of the most important events in Poland’s history, with sarcophagi containing the remains of eminent Poles.
The Old Town Market Square and Barbican.
The former Jewish Ghetto, (part of the Jewish History tour) the Memorial of the Heroes of the Ghetto, Umschlagplatz and Mila Street, site of the bunker where the leader of the Ghetto Uprising, Mordechai Anielewicz, committed suicide.
The Royal Route, with its superb aristocratic residences and famous monuments, including the Holy Cross Church containing urns with the hearts of Fryderyk Chopin (1810-49) and Wladyslaw Reymont (1868-1925), winner of the Nobel Price for Literature.
The Royal Park, a walk in the most beautiful park in Warsaw commonly known as Lazienki or the “Baths” and a visit to the interiors of the so-called “Palace on the Water”, the lavish summer residence of the last King of Poland, Stanislaw August Poniatowski (1764-95).
The tour also visit other important places of interest like the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a Monument to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 and the Monument to the Victims of Katyn.
