The Jewish once made up a third of the population in Lodz and outside Warsaw it was one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe.

The tour passes through a former Jewish ghetto called Litzmannstadt. This place became famous because of Mordechai Chaim Rumkowski, who was head of the Judenrat. You’ll also visit Lodz’s last remaining synagogue. It survived WW2 on because it was turned into a salt storehouse. Today it once again is a place for Jewish religious services.
