Summary – “Shhh… What’s your Absinthe story?”
No other alcoholic drink carries with it such an air of fear, respect and admiration. The Swiss created the mixture in the late 18th century, but it was in France in the late 19th century, that the drink really rose to popularity. About La fée verte
Absinthe has an extremely high alcoholic level. It has an anise flavour that includes grand woodworm, (Artemisia absinthium) sweet fennel and various other medicinal and culinary herbs. More commonly, Absinthe comes in green although a clear colourless version isn’t uncommon.
